Refund Policy

1. Escrow Refund Mechanism

Because SafeTradeGG acts strictly as a secure escrow provider for digital asset transactions, payments are not processed like standard retail transactions. Funds are held in a secure neutral escrow account until the buyer verifies delivery. This model ensures that refunds can be processed fairly depending on the transaction state.

2. Cancellations Before Payment

If a transaction is initiated but has not yet been paid by the buyer into the escrow vault, either the buyer or the seller may cancel the transaction at any time. No fees, holds, or penalties are applied for cancellations at this stage.

3. Refund Eligibility Criteria

Refund requests are evaluated under two distinct states of a funded transaction:

• Funded State (Before Payout Release): If the buyer has paid the transaction amount into the escrow account, the buyer is eligible for a refund under specific conditions. A refund may be issued if the platform determines that the buyer is entitled to a refund under these Terms following review of the transaction and available evidence. Examples include:
  • The seller fails to deliver the digital asset credentials within the required timeframe.
  • The credentials provided are invalid or access is blocked, and the seller does not rectify the issue.
  • A dispute is raised within the 24-hour verification window and our arbitration team resolves it in favor of the buyer.
• Completed State (After Payout Release): Once the buyer confirms access, or the 24-hour verification window expires without any dispute being opened (leading to auto-release), the escrowed funds are transferred to the seller. **Once payout is released, the transaction is finalized, and no refunds can be issued under any circumstances.**

4. Refund Processing Timeframe

Once a refund is approved by our dispute resolution team or triggered by a transaction cancellation:

• Funds are returned strictly to the **original payment source** (e.g. credit/debit card, UPI account, or net banking wallet) used during checkout.
• For domestic card and UPI payments in India, refunds generally reflect in the account within **5 to 7 business days**, in compliance with standard bank processing guidelines.

5. Chargebacks & Dispute Logs

Filing a dispute or chargeback directly with your credit card provider or bank while an escrow transaction is active violates our Terms. SafeTradeGG reserves the right to present payment logs, IP addresses, device information, identity verification records, and communication histories to gateways and card networks to contest fraudulent chargeback claims, and to suspend violating accounts indefinitely.
